San Jacinto Peak

Beautiful, but very steep hike up the mountain, with lots of climbing involved. Make sure to bring your trekking poles. Gorgeous views above the clouds and lots of running water along the way. The summit is pretty small and felt very crowded on this Labor Day weekend, several large groups that luckily did not stay long. The sign was unfortunately gone/broken, you might want to bring your own. You will burn a lot of calories, so bring plenty of food and start early.
