San Jacinto, they checked my permit

Started at the tram. Gaia showed me a route along the north side of Long Valley. I don’t recommend this route, stay on the south side of Long Valley. Came back down the south side, much better. Also, while on the less traveled north route we got pulled over for a permit check. Not long after the permit check we came across a homeless camp with trash all over the ground, seems like the ranger could work on that and permit check in his spare time. Just sayin. Incredible views at the top. It took a lot longer than the posted estimate and ended long after dark.
