Weather was in the 60s with intermittent cloudiness. I have to say of all the peaks I’ve done so far, Santiago is my least favorite. Only because the trail itself is mostly rocky and yo girl’s ankles ain’t all that. I hit Santiago first and since it’s close to Modjeska, I bagged that peak as well. I think this might be the easiest peak in the pack. I enjoyed it, regardless of the trail itself. Many beautiful flowers blooming and few people on the hike. I think its mainly used for biking and off roading. So if you’re going on a busy day, take a scarf of some sort for the dust.
