Santiago Peak

An easy but monotonous hike. Must have been gorgeous up here before it all burned though! Tons of poodle-dog bush around (far from the trail/road) that produced a way stronger smell than we expected. Didn’t see any other hikers on the Maple Springs side (met one who came up Holy Jim at the summit, though!), but tons of cyclists/dirt bikers/Jeeps. Everyone was really friendly!

Kind of kicking ourselves for not bagging Modjeska while we were up there – it would have been an easy side quest!
