Santiago Peak – I liked mountain biking it in my 20’s better (not hiking it in my 50’s)

I remember biking this and Mojeska  in my late 20’s.  Set out early, caught shade for the dog and I on the way up.  Crossed no hikers until the way down but was passed by both trucks and motorcycles while hiking.  There were some wildflowers but not many.  I liked mountain biking it better.  Maple Springs had a port-a-potty and the parking lot was not full when I left to go home mid day.
