Made this a fun weekend trip- camped at Mt. Pinos campground and started the hike from there. Added about 2 miles round trip but it was through some beautiful forest! And I got to finish my hike and hang out at the campground instead of getting right back in my car
Trail is very moderate, only a few steep sections and a lot of beautiful and shady forested sections. Beautiful vistas from the condor observation area just below Mt. Pinos!
