Got to the Nordic base parking lot at around 7.30 am. Just one other car. Plenty of parking spaces. The area had no snow 🙁

The drive to/from the trailhead is half the fun of this hike.

Trail was pretty good, well maintained. It takes you to two peaks. The first stop is Mt. Pinos and a Condor viewing area. The initial part of the trail is mostly shaded. As you approach the first stop, you come upon an area that gives sweeping views all around. It is amazing. You can spend a lot of time here, just enjoying the views.

From this point, carry on to the Vincent Tumamait Trail to Sawmill Mountain. You climb down from Mt. Pinos and climb back up to Sawmill Mountain. This hike has a couple of ups/downs, so be prepared. Nothing too bad. As you approach the peak area, you will see it marked with a huge cairn. It was very windy there, but the views were spectacular.  Returning back you could spend more time in the Condor viewing area just taking in the spectacular views.

Binoculars are highly recommended on this hike. Take your time on this beautiful trail.
