Sawmill Saturday add-on 3-2-1 Challenge

Nice to get back on track with the 6 pack of Peaks challenge now that many of the trail heads are opening back up. This Saturday’s adventure also incorporated the 3-2-1 challenge hitting Pinos, Sawmill, and Grouse.
Began the hike at the Nordic Base with the easy fire road hike up to Mt. Pinos. Weather was really nice and it was enjoyable to be out in the Los Padres Forest. Reached Mt. Pinos and took in the really great view. So far not to crowded on the trail.
Next up Sawmill. Had some good conversation with fellow hikers at the rock pile and took in the views. Really fun hiking so far as we made our way to the 3rd summit. to the next summit. Made it to the Grouse tree and had a nice break after signing the register.
Much more people on the trail on the way back especially those just going to Mt. Pinos. Nice to see people enjoying the outdoors after being indoors for the last couple months. Really fun day with good company, great weather, and climbing mountains.
