Beautiful, temperate day!  Started out in sun, and the clouds rolled in after we came down from the peak, blowing across the trail. It cleared again just before we got back to the trailhead.  Wildflowers were popping off!

      I did the hike yesterday before the closure. The highway message boards did say the 74 would be closed at the candy store starting at 10pm last night. I’m not sure if there is any access to the trailhead and parking this weekend. I probably wouldn’t risk it.
