Today’s hike was beautiful! Lots of snow. Easy going up but slippery going down on the snow/ice. We took the Five Oak Trail going up and loved thr amazing views and snow. It was windy and cold at the summit but it was clear enough to see the Salton Sea, San Diego, the ocean and Palm Springs. The trails at the top are very icy. We hiked down the service road and it was REALLY slippery. Mostly ice. Loved at the bottom the time capsule that will be opened in 2100. Wish I would be alive then to know what is inside.
