What a glorious day! Perfect weather, good companion and lots of mountain bluebirds.
I remembered to bring my previously unused hiking poles for the first time since getting them for Christmas 2024 and they came in handy when navigating stretches of snow and ice. There was more snow left from the storm of the previous week than we expected, but it wasn’t really a problem and added to the alpine vibe.
Very few people on the trail and we had the summit to ourselves and we lingered over lunch for about an hour.
