I hiked Mt Si a few times before but never during the winter. From now on, it will be on my winter hikes list as the snow makes the summit views ten times better. Surprisingly, to my luck, it was also the first time that there wasn’t crazy high wind at the top, at the rock field. Haystack rock was more menacing looking than ever due to the snow, so yeah, no scrambling up the haystack rock this time.

That’s a great hike in the snow. We agree, a little daunting to think of climbing the haystack in deep snow!
