Snowy San Gorgonio

Finally was able to tackle San G this year after multiple delays and “life” getting in the way. Started early at 6 am from the Vivian Creek trailhead.
Pretty smooth until about 9000’ when we encountered packed icy trail snow.
Recommend using hiking poles and ice spikes for boots if you have them. In the morning it was pretty slick.

Forecast was sunny but encountered some dark clouds after reaching the summit. We ate quick and heading back down. Had some snow flurries come down on us at about 10000’ but wasn’t bad.
Overall great day….and my Six Pack of Peaks challenge is now complete!!!
