Solo Trip up Black Mountain in the Sunshine

Last of the six mountains, and the alternate added after Berryessa Peak was closed. The steep ascent had a lot of direct sunshine but you get wonderful views of Mt. Diablo, Mt. Umunhum, and Mission Peak which I had done earlier this year. The peak itself is nothing spectacular and feels like something of a meadow with trees and rocks, and not much shade for lunch, but the winding paths back down through the hilly forests were cool and aromatic, and made for a pleasant descent.
