Special day on Baldy

Had planned to save Baldy for last but had the chance to hike a peak today and decided to go for it, and I was glad I did. Went up to the Notch (easy part of the hike) and then up Devils Backbone (beautiful tough section) with the final accent being a beast. Say a helicopter land twice while I was hiking up and then while I was resting on the peak got to see it land and take off another time. Turns out there is a race up and down Baldy tomorrow so they were flying supplies and water up for the racers. What a cool day

Peak was as packed as Potato Chip Rock hike in SD which I didn’t like but it is what it is. Great hike, amazing views, but not my favorite peak. Tons of people will always make me dislike a peak.
