Spikes…yes please!

The hike was great. It was definitely a challenge but that was more due to being more out of shape than I would like. The trail was easy to access and was in good condition. After the lake we began to see more snow on the trail. Before reaching the saddle we had to put microspikes on. With the warmer weather the snow was slushy and made it easy to slip. Currently, the bigger spikes worked better than those in our group that had smaller spikes on theirs. The views from the summit made the snow worth it.
