Steep & Sweaty

Was visiting a friend for his 50th down in Manitou Springs so the timing was perfect. We started a little bit later than we should have so it was hot and dry. Made it up to the halfway point on the Incline and opted to go the rest of the way up the Barr trail. Definitely not in the shape I need to be as of yet and my short legs were pretty blown out by the steep steps. Plus it was hot on the incline with no shade! Once we rejoined the top of the incline trail the description worked out perfectly and it was an easy trek to the top from there. Went down on the Barr trail all the way and enjoyed some cooling rain on the descent as well. This is definitely a hike to do early morning or wait until the fall.
