Sticker-Shock Returning to the Car
Also on this hike
The trail conditions were good, it started overcast and a little breezy, the sun peeked out a few times and overall the temps were good throughout the hike. We hiked up the Fry-Koegel trail and down the roadside to Hwy 67. We’ve hiked this route many times and have always parked on the side of the road down by Archie Moore road, beginning the hike by the golf course area. Well… lesson learned today… they’ve recently built a parking lot, but signage is VERY hard to find. We parked in our normal spot along the road, and upon returning we both had parking tickets for $61.00! Because we’ve always parked further down the road we did not notice that it now has signs posted “No Parking” uuuggghhhh. On our way back we looked for the new parking lot and didn’t see any signs directing us that way. Lesson learned the hard way… do your research and park in the new lot (wherever it is!)
Otherwise, it was a beautiful day for a hike and we saw lots of doggies on the trail having a great time!
