Storm at our heels

Summited with my gf on Saturday. Fire scars from the El Dorado fire are widespread – I hadn’t hike this peak since the area re-opened from the fire closure. Definitely some October vibes in the “haunted forest” look of some burned out sections.

Trail was in good condition, and we cruised to the top. Cruised even faster on the way down, and were chased by a storm. Got a little bit of rain but was able to largely keep ahead of it.
