Strawberries on Strawberry Peak

Strawberry Peak was a pleasant hike, though incredibly sunny.

We started our hike around 7am after watching the sunrise in Red Box picnic area. The hike up was not too difficult, aside from certain areas with no wind and pockets of hot air, which made it a little uncomfortable. By 9am, we were at the peak and enjoying cool and refreshing strawberries! After a brief chat with other hikers and sharing our strawberries, we hiked back.

The views of the surrounding Angeles Mountains were nice, and occasionally you could get a view of the coast. While we don’t completely understand the name of the peak, it was a nice hike—beautiful views with a few wildflowers in bloom.
