Summit Beers on Ontario Peak

In my continuing quest to summit all #sixpackofpeaks, I conquered Ontario summit yesterday with @calitrailhead, who helped push me when I would’ve otherwise taken more frequent breaks! I may have forgotten how tough this hike was; I summitted it last year while there was still snow on the trails, but thought it would’ve been easier than Cucamonga, my next conquest! It is a longer route with false peaks and an overall elevation gain of 4,000+ ft over 6.5 miles, with very little shade past the Icehouse Saddle and some sketchy single track with loose gravel. The views on the summit are amazing; I could see Santiago Peak way off in the distance. I may try climbing that one, too.  I brought along a couple of bottles of beer, securely packed in ice, to use the convenient bottle opener on the summit tree and enjoy a cold one!  ????‍♂️⛰????????
