Sunny day on Strawberry Peak

My first Summit since Covid world started. I needed a warm up for Gongonio and this roller coaster style trail was perfect. Not too much, not to little. Weather was great, mostly sunny with cool breezes which was awesome since most of the trail is exposed. This is prime time to enjoy butterflies and catapillars as they were absolutely everywhere. The views of the San Gabriel’s were stunning. Most of the crowd was down a couple miles at Switzer Falls, and most cars at Red Box were on the Gabrialleno trail so I didn’t have a hard time with crowds. Mountain bikers were a surprise to me, i didn’t expect them on such a thin trail so prepare to yield to them.
