Sunrise Peak at High Noon
This is a nice hike rewarding views from the peak. Overall, this is a fairly easy trail. If you have conquered Camelback or Piestewa Peak, this will be a breeze. That said, I would not want to make this hike on a hot, sunny day. There is virtually zero shade. Early morning or late afternoon/early evening would be ideal in hot conditions. The trail itself consists mainly of dirt and gravel at lower elevations. It does not become especially rocky until the last third-half a mile from the summit. I ran down most of the trail after reaching the peak.
