Sunrise Timpanogos Hike

This hike has become wildly popular and there were at least 60 people at the peak when we did this and we left at 3 AM to get to the top by sunrise! If this wasn’t a traditional hike I do every year I would not recommend it to friends. The trail is full of many college students who don’t know trail etiquette and ruin the experience. It is a beautiful hike. But for the distance and the difficulty there are plenty of other hikes with same quality of reward at the end without the irritation of rude individuals.

I am typically a VERY positive person, but this hike was definitely ruined by the Provo boys who surrounded us.

Advice I would give to anyone doing this hike, bring layers! This hike will always fluctuate in temperature and the peak is typically cold no matter what time of year you choose to go.
