It is sunset Sunday which means a sunset hike out to quartz peak. We started from the main Trailhead about 3:30 hoping to get to the top by sunset at 5:20. I was fortunate enough to make it eight others did not out of our group of 13.

 

The temperatures were perfect about mid-60s so just a light t-shirt and lightweight pants were wonderful for the climb to the top. Due to the sunset being so early I really pushed myself to go as fast as I could to get to the top. This is not my favorite Mountain since it is so hard but I did it!

 

One more in the books and I am very grateful for my hiking family who allowed me to attend this event last minute.
