Great hike! Started at 0645. I probably should have started a little early because it did get pretty hot. I would recommend hiking this during the week, due to the fact that a lot of people hike fat mans loop on the weekends and that is the main way to the trail. The aspens were amazing and the trail was easy to follow.

Can I ask how long it took you, car to car? I just finished my first (Bear Mountain) on Sunday and am trying to plan out the rest of the hikes. It takes a little more planning since I’m down in Phoenix so I have to drive a bit to all the peaks.
Hi! I started at 0645 and was back in my car at 0900. I did take a few breaks on the way up and didn’t stay long at the top. If you hike it very early or during the week you’ll be less likely to run in to other hikers; it’s a very popular trail.
