Tam-Tastic

It’s been five years since I first climbed Mt. Tam and it’s still a challenge! But I’m in better shape and have better gear. Allyson and I did this hike right at the start of a heat wave, so it was warmer than we would have liked. Luckily we started at 745am from Muir Woods so we were already descending when it really started to bake. The portions on the fire road are brutal in the sun. But the views were spectacular, we met a bunch of really awesome people at the top, and ending in the cool, shady Muir Woods was a treat.
