Tea time at Baden Powell

I’ve been doing a lot of traveling/exploring outside of southern Cal this year, so had to squeeze in 4 peaks by the end of the year!  My boyfriend and I did this hike on a Friday, with the plan to do Mount Baldy on Sunday.  We arrived a little later in the morning at around 8:30 a.m. but there were plenty of parking available since it was a Friday. The weather was beautiful and the trail was mostly in the shade. I was surprised to see that the tree where the trail from Dawson Saddle joins the main trail fell over since the last time I hiked this trail. 🙁 Fortunately, the Waldren Tree was still standing strong!  It was my bf’s birthday and we celebrated with a nice cup of tea and sausage rolls at the peak, since he’s British.
