What a perfect day to hike San G, cloudy at the top with high near 50 degrees. When I did this a year ago and about a mile to the peak around 1 pm it was brutal, with full sun exposure and high temperatures.  Do this on a cloudy day or start very early.  We started around 8 am but since it was cloudy it was doable and only went thru 3 liters of water.  On a hot day bring at lease 4+liters of water or filtration system.

We could not of had a better day to climb.
