The BEAST! El Capitan

Wow, this trail is a beast!  She tested my endurance.  My dog was a hiking beast herself as usual.  She’s only a year and a half old and I’m sure in a couple years she won’t want to do hard hikes like this again.  Honestly, I wouldn’t take her on this one again even though she spurred me on to continue.  I also would never want to do this again in a warmer month.  The day we hiked had a high of 75 degrees and given the many steep hills coming and going I could see getting into trouble with heat exhaustion.  I took about 6 liters of water for both the dog and myself and could have used a little more.  I’m so proud to say we made this extremely hard hike.
