The Ent of Baden-Powell

I love taking a moment to sit on the gnarled knee of Wally Waldron and think about the hundreds of years this tree has seen. It’s like conversing silently with an Ent.

Third time I’ve done this peak; this time was the fastest at 3:30. Bugs weren’t terrible, just annoying gnats. Glad I went early, it was hot when I finished at 10:30. Able to buy the new $5 pass from a worker in the parking lot who was very friendly.
