The Finale – Wilson Mt

Mt. Wilson, perhaps due to the off putting parking situation at Midgely Bridge, high temperature & sun exposure, wound up taking the crown as the most difficult for our 2 person team. A late start and lack of knowledge did us no favors, and made the climb all the tougher.

The payoff of making the top put us in great spirits, with alot to explore on level ground. The forested area has a second to none view of Sedona below, and the trail terminus at the opposite end offered a well secluded overlook for lunch. The return trip was a skippy, self congratulatory affair.

It was as close as we would come to a dropout, and made the finish of the trail, and the challenge, all the more memorable.
