The Hike With The Flag

Started at 7:10am and it was already warm.  Wore short sleeve tshirt and shorts.  Normal trail conditions for the area (packed dirt, loose rocks and scattered tree roots.  One downed tree across the trail in one section (was also there last year).  Easy to jump over it.  Not windy today and few bugs – not enough for a net but wise to bring one.  We encountered a handful of hikers on the trail at different times, but had the peak to ourselves once we summited.  I love this hike.  Great views, no nonsense trail and great views while watching the flag proudly waving in the wind.  Happy 4th everyone.
