The Hump on Camelback

Though the hike is gorgeous and a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the city, it’s a challenging one for parking. We attempted a hike at 6am earlier this month to find 30 other cars waiting for parking spots. We left. On our second and successful attempt, we arrived at 3:30pm on a Friday. So… Either take an Uber and deal with large crowds on the rock walls, or go during average business hours. It’s a pretty serious hike with a large part being a rock wall that is more like bouldering. Gorgeous 360 degree views of the valley with little to no shade at the top. A great hike, but one that needs careful planning to make it to the trailhead.
