The Last Rose

'Tis the last peak of 6PoP
  Left unscaled alone;
All her majestic allies
  Are now better known.
First traversed was Diablo,
  Then Mount Um and Coe's;
Helena and Tam followed,
  At last, Sunol's Rose.

Parts were hiked with audio,
  Parts, without a thought.
More were spent in wonder o'er
  Scenes the lenses caught.
Often did paths intersect,
  Smiles exchange, and talk;
Experiences were then penned
  For every long walk.

So soon will I leave here
  With new memories,
Of curious cows, radiant rays,
  And of twisted trees.
That unseen, yet remembered,
  Is far from bygone;
Though appearances deceive, 
  One is ne'er alone.
