With my usual hiking partners unable to head out to climb some peaks in Anza-Borrego, I opted to knock out one of the Six Pack peaks instead. Since Woodson is so close, why not do it? Plus, Volcan’s forecast looked really windy (more than normal). Nice climb to the summit, I passed a few folks who got an earlier start than I did. Skipped waiting in the Disneyland-like line to climb onto the chip. I also skipped climbing the actual summit block again. Came down the service road. So many people did not have looks of enjoyment as they hoofed their way up…
