The Odd Finale

Our final fantasy.  It was a bit odd (in a good way if your in love with trucks!).  The adventure started with 7 miles of off-roading to get the the TH.  Once parked, the trail was actually a road for high clearance vehicles and trail motorcycles – we were the only hikers.  Was glad to hike this close to Winter as the shade was sparse and it was super dry.  The views were incredible…super clear! Could see Catalina island, the Channel Islands and all the way to Mexico!

This was the 3rd hike over Thanksgiving – I’m couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate all that I’m grateful for.  Looking forward to making more memories on another set of peak trails in 2023!  The conversations, camping, farting, campfires, food, race cars, sweat, bugs, snow and laughs were unforgettable.
