The Place Where the Water Comes Down
The hike started a bit rough, with a steep elevation gain right out of the gate. It eased up after that, alternating between short steep climbs and flatter stretches to catch our breath. My buddy and I had the trail to ourselves the whole way.
Trail conditions were good, clear and manageable, just demanding in that first stretch. Weather was sunny and a bit warm, capped off by a stunning sunset.
Reaching the top made it all worth it. Looking out over the mountains from that height, we felt a real sense of relief and accomplishment.
