At 5:15am we went to a local breakfast restaurant (Home Sweet Home in Escondido) and had a wonderful breakfast before starting the hike. We highly recommend it if your in the neighborhood.
The trail was in really good shape… TONs of people. So many in fact, it was about a 45 minute line to wait and get a picture take on the rock, so we elected to just get a picture from the distance.
