Trailhead Mountain Station of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Leaving the Tram, descend into Long Valley and self-register for a Wilderness permit at the Mount San Jacinto State Park ranger station

Road Road rough but passable

Bugs Bugs were not too bad

Snow Intermittent snow - not hard to cross

Hiked with a group

It’s not for the faint of heart. Make sure to bring lots of water and snacks. Always check the weather for proper clothing. We Started hiking at 8,000+ feet elevation and it was tough. Make sure to start slow, walk slow, to acclimate your body. Make a stop if feel you’re getting out of breath. The mountain top was amazingly beautiful.
