The tallest peak south of the Sierras, and she sure is a beauty! I love the lunar-like landscape near and at the summit.

Brought a friend along who is currently training for the JMT, and she wanted some exercise and a good training hike. We were both quite spent after getting back to the car haha Stopped and ate at Denny’s before a 2.5 hour drive back to Santa Barbara.

To me, hikes like this is what life is all about. We started the hike around 8am, which was a little later than we anticipated, but it worked at very well as the weather conditions on the trail were great and we got to catch the sunset just as we were finishing up the hike. Absolutely perfect! A full 12 hours in the beautiful Gorgonio Wilderness.
