Well what can I say phew. Great hike great views but its a killer. As we started our ascend dog and i we knew the path for the first 3.5 miles since we had tried to do it once before. Lots of ups and downs once we got to the 3.5 marker its when the fun started since the uphill is a bit slippery but we managed by mile 4 we were dragging when will it end and so on lol we got to mile 5 and took a sharp right tk el capitan summit we got there cool shed took some pics but we wanted a picture with the el cajon elevation pole. So we decided to keep going till we got to el cajon summit. Once there we took some pictures and rest a bit. Our decend was intense since we were tired most of the way down we ran down, dog by my side. When we got to the 4 mile mark again the slippery part i almost ate it but i managed we stopped at the 3 mile mark to re-hydrate. I got cramps on my quads fun it reminded me my hike at the grand canyon fun times. Over all we conquered it.
