Two weeks ago we hiked in 36 degree weather with snow on Bear Mountain, CT. Today, just two weeks later, 81 degrees and a refreshing breeze on the summit.

We challenged ourselves today by scaling the Thunderbolt trail to the summit. Highly recommend this trail for those who want to push the cardio. We were happy to finally crest the trail and see some gentle trails the rest of the day. Bugs were hungry on Thunderbolt, but we encountered no bugs coming down Gould, but did come across a meandering porcupine who really wanted to be left alone.
