Tough hike but incredible views

Lisa and I were fortunate enough to get parking in the third parking lot on Columbus weekend. We were able to hike the Birchtoft trail. The hike overall. However it was the overall enjoyable. The trail going up progressed in steepness for a few pretty good scrambles. There are a few places on the way up to the summit or you can stop and take pictures of the mountains around us. Summit was amazing they were 360 views. The fall foliage was incredible. I never realized how beautiful it would be to hike in the fall in this area I am now addicted. They hike down was rough but doable it took a lot out of us physically to get down there are many spots where we sit down on our butts versus trying to figure out a way to hike it down with our feet.
