Our 2nd hike for this trip (5th peak for the NorCal 6-POP). A friend from Concord met us at the trailhead and joined our group. There were a lot of hikers, runners and bikers enjoying their ride both on the trail and on the road. Did I say BIKERS? With that, I took the opportunity to convince my wife to buy a new gravel bike. Crossing my fingers 🙂

We did a loop via West Point Inn and on our way down we took the Railroad Grade Fire Road and passed by the Mountain Theater. There was a play rehearsal going on that we initially could hear from a distance. And on up close, their sound was full on, clear, and enticing that we thought of coming back to watch their show.
