Twinkle toes around a snake?!

Trail was great although some mud and water in places I haven’t seen on other trips up.  Foggy day at the top but warmed up and cleared up as the day went on.  As we were nearing the end I came around a corner and a large black snake came right at me and slithered under my feet.  I jumped up and twinkle toed my feet to avoid stepping on him.  Pretty sure it was a California Whiptail.  Super fast non-venomous snake but it was scary!  Great day all together!
