Unofficial Start of Wildflower Season

I’ve done this trail many times and it’s especially nice this time of year with wildflowers from start to finish.

A few things to note:

• Parking lot was closed. This was noted on All Trails so it seems like it’s been happening for awhile but I don’t know if/when it will reopen.
• There is limited roadside parking. I arrived at 6:25 AM and was the 3rd car to park so it was easy. When I got back to my car at 11:30 AM, there was no parking and a few cars waiting for someone to leave.
• Bathrooms were locked and looked like they had been closed for a long time.
• Candy Store is permanently closed so you need to arrive with a parking permit (I highly recommend getting the America the Beautiful Pass for unlimited visits to all National Parks and National Forests!)
