This was a long, strenuous, cold and cloudy hike with amazing views the entire way. Trail was quite muddy near the trailhead but got much better after a mile or so. I recommend bringing a map if you aren’t familiar with Mt. Diablo. The trails were surprisingly crowded on a cold day after heavy rain the day before. Encountered multiple groups. Beautiful wild flowers!
