Visit Volcan Mountain’s Welcoming Committee

Volcan Mountain was our second peak of the day on April 6th. It was a continuous uphill jaunt to the top. Lucky for us the weather was cool since we were doing this one in the afternoon. The views of the surrounding mountain ranges were amazing. At the summit, we met the ever so friendly welcoming committee also known as a rattlesnake. He was busy sunning on the dirt road and so we kindly did not ask for directions. Instead we made our way back around the top to head down. It was another good day on a San Diego trail.
