I combined this hike with Cuyamaca since they were close together and near Julian Pie. Made it a loop by going up Five Oaks and down the main trail. It was perfect. Above the June Gloom (limited views looking west). Well maintained trail. Interesting educational signs. Wish I lived closer.

    No bugs (which is unusual). It’s one of the prettiest hikes I’ve done in SD county. The Julian area is just so pretty. Parking was a little tricky as it’s on the side of the road. Go early if going on a weekend I think
